Filmito Studio ("Studio", "we", "us") is the self-serve captioning tool from Filmito, a cinematic video studio. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We keep it short and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Account info — your email address when you sign in, so we can save your projects and let you render.
- Your media — the video or audio you upload, processed to transcribe and render your captions.
- Project data — the transcripts, styles, and renders you create.
- Basic usage — standard logs (e.g. device and request data) to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To transcribe your audio, render your captioned video, and save your work.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Studio.
- To email you about your account or, if you opt in, product updates. You can unsubscribe anytime.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your uploads to train models.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to run the Studio, for cloud hosting and storage, authentication, speech-to-text, video rendering, and payments. They process data only to provide their service to us. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.
Retention
We keep your account and projects while your account is active. Uploaded source files are stored to process your video and to let you re-render; you can delete a project, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, at any time.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. To make a request, email hello@filmito.io. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, we honor those requests.
